While surfing my favorite YouTube channels I came across Sha'Kia Renea's DIY Whipped Coconut Hair & Body Mousturizer video. This homemade whipped butter so was beautiful I just had to try it... Of course with my own twist.

My Hair Care Love Detox Mud Mask

My Hair Care Love Detox Mud Mask is a hair detox treatment. I wasn't excited to try this product because of the texture and appearance. This product looks and feel just like mud. Its very thick but smooth to the touch. Also, I've never used a mud detox before. I received the mud mask from my August Natural Hair Box. This product can be purchased from www.myhaircarelove.com for $8.95 for 4oz and $15.95 for 8oz.

This product is all in one. No need to shampoo or conditioner with this product. It cleans and conditions. It also contains good ingredients like castor oil, jojoba and peppermint (which is also the scent of the product).

How I used it:
I wet my hair with a spray bottle then applied the product to my hair generously. I applied from roots to ends focusing on my crown (driest area). This product had horrible slip and I didn't like the way it felt. The peppermint scent was nice. I allowed it to stay in my hair for 25 mins. It's instructed for 30 mins to an hour but can stay on overnight. I couldn't stand for it to be on any longer because if the way it felt.

From the website: My Hair Care Love Detox Mud Mask is something that you never seen before on your neighborhood beauty bar's shelf.
This new product will give your hair everything it desperately needs. Tired of shampooing your hair and its never tee ally being clean? Or worse! Using conditioners that don't really moisturize your hair?
Well this one stop shop for hair will remove that week's buildup! Along with essential and carrier oils such as Castor, Almond, jojoba, peppermint and many more this product will leave your hair moisturize along with stimulating your scalp for a peaking growing ability.

I rinsed it out in the shower. Surprisingly, it rinsed out very well.

And y'all my hair felt to good. It was soft, silky and fluffy. This nasty feeling stuff made my hair feel so good.

I was amazed by this because after you rinse out the mud mask  your done. I pineappled my hair and was finish! Love it!!!!
Final thoughts:
This is a great product. I will be purchasing a full size. My hair has never felt like this from any product.

Pros: moisturizing, all in one product, did what it said, saves time
Cons: appearance, didn't come with instructions

From the website: www.myhaircarelove.com instructions:
To apply mask simply wet your hair. Make sure it is thoroughly wet. Use hands to apply mask from roots including scalp to tips. you can finger comb it through, use a wide tooth comb or denamen brush. I like to use my finger and simply finger comb it so it can get through every strand and then massage my scalp with it.
Then you can leave it on for 30mins to an hour or overnight if you like. You an also wrap your hair in plastic or use a steamer on hair if you would like a more deep treatment. Then simply wash out, style and go!

Camille Rose Naturals Body Butter

Camille Rose Naturals White Chocolate Whipped Body Butter

Camille Rose Naturals White Chocolate Whipped Body Butter is one of her scented bath and body products. This product retails for $10.00 4oz. I got mine from a swap Facebook group. I no longer see it on her website but AYEYOU.COM has it for $10.00 4oz.

This is a Shea based butter but because of the white chocolate scent you can barely smell it. This butter smells just like white chocolate!!!

This product also is thick and well made. The scent is very strong to me but I don't mind it for special occasions with the hubby!!! Hint hint lol. But I couldn't wear it to work or church because its strong and it lasts.

How I used it:
After a nice hot bath I apply it directly to my body. It's very moisturizing and easy to apply. It melts into the skin.

Final thoughts:
All in all I like it. I would love it in a different scent so I can use it more often.

Pros: moisturizing, special occasions use, texture, size ingredients

Cons: strong scent, cost, availability

Since Camille Rose no longer sell this product on her website, I found this info on aunatural007.blogspot.com. She also reviewed this product.

They say:

Chocolate is the food of the Goddess, so why shouldn't your precious skin indulge in its benefits too? Decadent white chocolate and Shea butter dance to a beautiful ballot with essential oils and vitamins to maintain your skin's elasticity and keep it visibly vibrant.

Ingredients:

Derived from nature! Butyrospermum Parkii (shea butter), Cocoa Nucifera (coconut oil), Jojoba oil, vitamin A,C, E, Emu oil, tea tree oil, Fragrance, Essential blends, LOVE!

Camille Rose Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel

Camille Rose Aloe Whipped Butter Gel

Camille Rose Aloe Whipped Butter Gel is a styler. I got this from AYEYOU.COM for 16.00 for 8oz. It can also be found at Whole Foods, Curlmart, Amazon and some Targets.

Like her other products this whipped butter gel is well made and is very thick.

The scent also reminds me of cake batter like some of her other products. I was very excited to try this product thinking it was a gel. I was surprised by the consistency because its not your usual gel.

How I used it:
I used this product on clean wet hair. Due to the thickness of this product I used about a quarter size on 4 sectioned parts. This product can be used on wet or dry hair. It claims to softly define curls and give it shine and elongation. Also claims to work well on 2 strand twists. So that's what I did... Twists!!! (See pic)

I kept them in for about 2 days then I created these styles!!!! (See pic)

Final thoughts:
I liked not loved this product. My hair felt weighted down and coated. My hair was also white and I had to add another product to conceal that. But my twists lasted and I was able to do some cute styles. So all in all it was ok.

Pros: scent, ingredients, quality, quantity
Great for twisting and braiding.

Cons: not moisturizing, dullness, didn't do what it said for me because I didn't have shine, softness nor elongation.

Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk

Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk.
This is a moisturizer. This product is also well made and is creamy & thick. Curl Love like some of her other products smell great. This scent reminds me of cake batter.

I have 3 bottles of this product. One is the old formula (which has less ingredients) and 2 of them is the new formula. I got the new formula from Target for 14.99 and the old formula from a swap group on Facebook. Her products can be found at Target, Whole Foods, AYEYOU & Curlmart.

How I used it:
I used this product on clean hair to see how it faired alone. Curl love can be applied to dry or wet hair.I used the shingling method to apply it. I used it as a moisturizer for my everyday bun. This product claims to provide shine, lasting moisture and decrease shrinkage to enhance the driest hair. Let's see!

My results and final thoughts:
Curl Love didn't do what it claimed to do for my hair. Not alone at least. I paired this product with pink Eco Styler gel and some oil using the LCG method and my hair was beautiful!!!! (See pic). So I love this product in conjunction with other products. However not with my other Camille products. Due to the heaviness of her products I can't combine them on my thin hair.

Pros: Scent, work well with my other products, slip, consistency, ingredients

Cons: Cost, not moisturizing enough, didn't do what it says (for me), availablity on ground

Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter Review

Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter

Camille Rose Curlaide Moisture Butter is a heavy thick well made butter. It smells like cake batter scent and I got this from AYEYOU for $16.00 for 8oz. Camille Rose products are also sold at Target, Whole Foods, Curlmart and AYEYOU.com.

How I used it:

I used this product on clean wet hair to see how it faired alone. It claims that it's great on dry hair and is a sealant for hair ends and to detangle dry hair.  I used it for a wash n go just for moisture before I add my styler. This hair product is very thick and creamy so I sectioned my hair into four parts and fingered this product into my hair from root to ends. This product claims to transform tight curls into bouncy, silky spirals. At it states that its a styler for wash-n-goes, twists, locks and braids. I have both tight and loose curls (4a/3c) so I was excited to see how it would work on my hair type.
My results and final thoughts:

This butter was to heavy for my thin tresses and it weighed my hair down even though I didn't apply a lot. My hair was also coated and was white even after it dried. Due to this I decided to two strand twist it. The next morning my hair was still white and slightly harden so I left the twists in. It did not transform my tight curls to bouncy silky spirals.

Conclusion:

I have mixed feelings about this product. I didn't like it for moisture because it wasn't moisturizing for me but it held my twists all day. Even though the were coated looking they didn't come unraveled. Next time I use it I may add oil to soften it and to give it shine. Will I repurchase....probably not. I think overall heavy butters are to heavy for my thin hair. Again this product may be better for thicker haired users.

Pros: Scent, heaviness, quality, quantity, durability

Cons: Cost, availability on ground, not for thin hair (for me), not moisturizing enough (for me), didn't do what it claimed to do (for me).

Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker

Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker

lllllll

Camille Rose Curl Maker. I was excited about trying this product more than all of her products because this is a gel jelly type product and I love gels. Unlike the other products I've tried Curl Maker smells citrusy. Its a light gel with a pink clear color. (see pic). It's kind of sticky but it's not runny. I purchase this for $22.00 for 12oz from AYEYOU.COM.

How I used it;
I applied Curl Maker on clean soaking wet hair. I used it for a wash and go. I used it alone to see how it faired alone. I applied this product using the shingling method. I styled my hair as usual with a side split and allowed my hair to air dry. It didn't take long to dry.

My results and final thoughts.

While wet my hair was cute. After it dried I experienced a lot of shrinkage and dryness. This product claims to eliminate  frizz, moisturize and define curls. While my ends where defined and surprisingly not frizzy the most of my hair was frizzy. I only had definition in spots.

Pros: Curl gelly, scent, slip, convenient pump
Cons: Price, availability on ground, not moisturizing (for me) didn't do what it claimed to do (for me).

After a hour of doing my hair I had to put it in a bun and throw on some shades to make it cute. Will I repurchase...probably not. Why? because of the price and the fact that it didn't work well for me. I will use what I have and only apply it to my ends because for some reason it worked for my frizzy ends-go figure. I also think 3 type hair types will get better results from Curl maker.

Camille Rose Naturals Fresh Curl

Camille Rose Naturals Fresh Curl

Camille Rose Fresh Curls (I think this may be her old formula) is a curl refresher. It can be used on wet or dry hair. The product is 8oz and sells for $14.00. It can be found in select Targets, Whole Foods and AYEYOU.

Like all of her products Fresh Curl smells like cake batter. I am fond of the scent. It has a strange texture (see pic) and unlike any curl refresher mist I've ever used. Its thick and not watery. It comes in a convenient spray bottle.

How I used it:

I used it on wet clean hair and alone. I wanted to see how it faired by itself. I divided my hair into 4 sections and applied it evenly. This product claims to detangle, nourish and revive dry, lifeless curls The Natural Way. I combed it through and unfortunately it was not a good detangler for me. Fresh Curl also made my hair white and foamy looking (see pic). After it dried the whiteness disappeared but my hair felt coated, sticky and slightly matted. My hair was not soft, moisturized or manageable.

Final thoughts: I really wanted to like this product however it did nothing for my hair. This product may work better on thicker curly haired users. Fresh Curl also weighed my thin hair down which is unusual for a curl refresher spray. Maybe I'll try the new formula of this product.

Pros: Scent, spray bottle, slip, good ingredients

Cons: Price, Availability on ground, not moisturizing (for me), too heavy for my hair.

Ingredients: Deionized water, Ricinus Communis (castor) seed oil, Hydrolyzed wheat protein, glycerin, persea gratissima (avocado oil), sodium PCA, BTMS, peach quava, optiphen and Love.

Camille Rose Naturals Product Review

Camille Rose Naturals Product Review

When I first heard about CR products I had to try them. The packaging is super cute which made me excited even more. Got some of them from Target and others from AVEYOU. Her products are now sold at Whole Foods.
These products while costly are very heavy and well-made. They all pretty much smell the same like cake batter (which smells great) and have good ingredients.

The products I'll be reviewing:

Fresh Curl (not pictured), Curl Maker, Curl Love, Curlaide Moisture Butter, Aloe Whipped Butter Gel, and her Body Butter (White Chocolate Whipped Body Butte)r.

I've already reviewed her twisting butter-Almond Jai Twisting Butter (See previous post).
Due to the depth of this review I will be posting separately. Tune In!!!
