Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter Review

Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter

I was happy when I found out that Camille Rose Naturals line was now at select Target stores. I knew that her product line is expensive so I only purchased the Curl Love Moisture Milk and the Almond Jai Twisting Butter. This is also a favorite among my naturals sisters so I could not wait to try it.

Product info:
This product is a twisting butter. It claims to be the best moisturizing twist butter ever. This product has a thick somewhat creamy tan texture. It smells really good like vanilla cake. This product retails for $16.99. It can be purchased from their website @www.camillerosenaturals.com, Target, Amazon, & Curlmart.

The product states:
 Hydrates-Soften-Strengthens
Camille Rose is bringing you back to natural by nourishing your dry and frizzy curls. It also states that this product is a must have butter that will leave your twists soft, strengthen, elongated and holds your style.

On the website says:

The Almond Jai Twisting Butter is a  botanical blend of oils and butters that will aid in managing course/thick hair, leaving a soft and smoother feel. Softens and moisturizes hair while nourishing the scalp and stimulating growth.

Ingredients:
Deionized water, behentrimonium methosulfate (BTMS)cetearyl alcohol, prunus dulcis(almond milk), prunusdulcis (almond)oil, cucurbita pepo(pumpkin)seed oil, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil, simmondsia chinensis(jojoba) seed oil, oryza sativa (rice)bran oil, macadamia ternifolia (macadamia nut)seed oil, olea europaea (olive)fruit oil, cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil, ulmus fulva bark extract (slippery elm), ricinus communis(castor)seed oil, aloe barbadensis(aloe)leaf juice< honey, camellia sinensis(green tea)leaf extract, phenoxyethanol/caprylyl glycol(optiphen). sorbic acid, scent and LOVE!

How I used it:
I started off with freshly cleaned and conditioned hair. I used this product alone. I decided to braid my hair with this product. I applied it to wet hair and on each braid. As you can see from the pic the product started to clump up. Maybe I applied to much or because its to thick for my thin hair. I wrapped my hair and went to bed. In the morning I unbraided my hair.

My braid-out:
My hair was somewhat dry but soft. It was defined ok but the back was frizzy. The product wasn't as moisturizing as it claimed. My hair was shiny and my curls was popping in the front section. The hold was average.

 Fluffed out:
I picked out my roots to make my hair bigger and I did like the results. My hair was fluffy, soft still but not that moisturizing.

 Later that day hair:
Later, my hair started to frizz up and became dryer. I was so disappointed with this product.
Due to the fizziness I had to go to my go to style a puff. After all that work on my hair and only to puff it I was not happy.

Final thoughts:
I had high hopes for this product. I thought it was a little expensive but I still chose to purchase it. This product wasn't as moisturizing nor did it help with fizziness. It also didn't last throughout the day as it promised. I did have some elongation and shine. It did not flake which was great. My hair was cute for about 6 hours. I will not be repurchasing this product. For the cost and the hairstyle not lasting a day it was not worth it. I am interested in trying her other products. I give this product a 2 out of 5.

Pros: Scent, shine, cute packaging, non-flaking, on the ground in select Targets.
Cons: Price, not moisturizing enough, not long-lasting, gunky
