Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter Review

Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter

Camille Rose Curlaide Moisture Butter is a heavy thick well made butter. It smells like cake batter scent and I got this from AYEYOU for $16.00 for 8oz. Camille Rose products are also sold at Target, Whole Foods, Curlmart and AYEYOU.com.

How I used it:

I used this product on clean wet hair to see how it faired alone. It claims that it's great on dry hair and is a sealant for hair ends and to detangle dry hair.  I used it for a wash n go just for moisture before I add my styler. This hair product is very thick and creamy so I sectioned my hair into four parts and fingered this product into my hair from root to ends. This product claims to transform tight curls into bouncy, silky spirals. At it states that its a styler for wash-n-goes, twists, locks and braids. I have both tight and loose curls (4a/3c) so I was excited to see how it would work on my hair type.
My results and final thoughts:

This butter was to heavy for my thin tresses and it weighed my hair down even though I didn't apply a lot. My hair was also coated and was white even after it dried. Due to this I decided to two strand twist it. The next morning my hair was still white and slightly harden so I left the twists in. It did not transform my tight curls to bouncy silky spirals.

Conclusion:

I have mixed feelings about this product. I didn't like it for moisture because it wasn't moisturizing for me but it held my twists all day. Even though the were coated looking they didn't come unraveled. Next time I use it I may add oil to soften it and to give it shine. Will I repurchase....probably not. I think overall heavy butters are to heavy for my thin hair. Again this product may be better for thicker haired users.

Pros: Scent, heaviness, quality, quantity, durability

Cons: Cost, availability on ground, not for thin hair (for me), not moisturizing enough (for me), didn't do what it claimed to do (for me).

  1. I really appreciate your reviews of the CRN line - I bought the entire line from Curlmart this past summer and am having the same issues with the products. Maybe the rave reviews were prior to the ingredient change? Anyway this line has not been impressive on my hair & I'm really disappointed given the cost.
